I live in the desert of Southern California and I love it. The summers are hot but the rest of the year is beautiful!

I am 51 years old and married with no kids. We have two adorable birds - Oscar, a feisty green cheek conure, and Sophie, a sweet cockatiel.

I've loved sending and receiving mail since I was kid getting pen pal magazines! I have a zillion postcards and love postcard swaps. I'm also learning to paint, so I love ATC, handmade postcard and mail art swaps too!

Things I love include:

Gardening - its a bit hard in the desert, but I still enjoy it. I also have way too many houseplants, mostly Pothos, snake plants, and pepperomia.

Painting - I love painting mixed media landscapes. I also have a very bad addiction to art supplies. :)

Reading - I LOVE to read. I mostly read literary fiction, poetry, classic lit, cozy mysteries and whatever strikes my fancy. I am a Libby fanatic.

Art - mostly modernist artists and landscapes. I never met an art museum I didn't want to go in for hours.

Travel - I love traveling, and seeing new countryside, cities, and trying new food. The bookstores and stationary/art supply stores & art museums in other countries/cities are also always on the agenda.

Movies and TV - I am a sucker for a period drama. Team 2005 Pride and Prejudice. I love Merchant Ivory films.

I love postcards with the following themes: art, books, animals, birds, landscapes, fruit, flowers, trees, and nature.
